Daegu

For Labor Day weekend we took a trip down to the city of Daegu.  It was a blast!  It's a beautiful city with tons to do.

We got there by KTX - Korea's super fast train.  We went almost 190 mph!

Making friends on the way to the World Championships

The Confucian Academy
A pomegranate tree for the Confucian scholars!

Oriental Medicine Street

The first protestant church in Daegu.  Isn't it pretty?

We stayed on Camp Walker, one of 3 U.S. Army Garrisons in Daegu.

Video of Aliza being silly in our hotel room.  Bedtime gets a little entertaining when we're all in one room! She clammed up a bit when we got the camera out, but she's still pretty darn cute. If you listen closely, you can hear Aliza say "bye bye" at the end.

We got to meet my Aunt Myrna's friend Chungyo! She was so great and took us to a fabulous traditional Korean restaurant.

Waiting for our cable car ride back down the mountain.

The train station on our way back home.
